Otunba Ogunbanjo is an experienced banker of over 41 years. An INED of Ave Maria Mfb. He serves in credit and Risk Management Committees of the bank. He is a holder of Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Banking & Finance and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Accounts, both from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University). Otunba Ogunbanjo qualified as a Chartered banker in the year 1991 and became a fellow of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB) in year 2010, Fellow of Microfinance Association of UK (FMA), Fellow Institute of Data Processing Management (FIDPM), Microfinance Certified Banker (MCIB), Member Institute of Management Consultants (MIMC), he holds Banking Practice License from Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), an alumnus of School of African Microfinance, Kenya (SAM).

He holds a professional certificate in Islamic banking & finance by IIIBF (BUK).

He started his banking carrier as an Account Clerk and move up the ladder to the position of Assistant Manager from the year 1982 to his first retirement in 1993, at the then Cooperative Bank Limited. He was the Assistant General Manager at Metro Finance, Ikeja between 1993 and 1994. He served as the Head of Credit and Banking operations at Maison Mortgage Finance, Fadeyi, in the year 1994 – 1995.

He was the Pioneer Manager of Molusi Community Bank from 1995 up to 2008. At the bank’s conversion to Microfinance Bank in year 2008, he became the Pioneer Managing Director/CEO up to December 31, 2020 when he retired for the second time in life.

He was a part-time lecturer of banking & finance at Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic from 2013 – 2015.

Partner Consultant & faculty – gopa Consultants, an affiliate of GIZ on SEDIN Programme for capacity building of Entrepreneurs and MSMEs between 2021 – 2023.

He is a consultant / trainer to Microfinance Banks on skilled/ man-power development and information technology from 2020 to date.

He is the Chairman of Asiribo Finance & Investment Limited from the year 2018 till date.

He is the Managing Consultant of Baybaj Consult.

Otunba has attended many locals and foreign seminars and trainings on banking and finance.

A community man to the core, hence he was bestowed with the title of Otunba Tadese of Atikori, Ijebu Igbo, his home town.

He is the President of the highest elite club of his town – Congress of Ijebu Igbo Community (CIC), as well as being the Coronation Secretary of the installation of the Paramount ruler of his kingdom- The Orimolusi of Ijebu –Igbo. Ogun State, Nigeria in the year 2023.
